We want to thank you all for your prayers and love as Wayne and I have walked this path - we couldn't do it without each other and we couldn't have done it without all of your love and kindness. We love you Eli - thank you for stopping by for a while and sharing your life with us.

Eli is my hero. He taught me about strength; both of body and spirit. He taught me patience and perseverance and how to fight when my body is weak - all with a quiet dignity and peace. I have never known anyone that could handle such adversity and be so content with life - always offering a little smile.

When the tears fall and the tracks are dried from your face by the kisses of your spouse, how do you loose or dry the tears of your heart? I am not you ,yet you all are in my heart and mind, and i cannot know your pain. I wish i was there.

My thoughts and prayers were with you this summer at camp. What a beautiful baby. I was very sad to hear he had passed.

For such a small and gentle boy, Eli was a large force in so many lives. He taught us how precious life is and the power of parents’ love for their children. I feel honored to have known him and to count you both as friends. Your enduring strength and love for each other over these difficult times is an inspiration. My thoughts are always with you,
