When the tears fall and the tracks are dried from your face by the kisses of your spouse, how do you loose or dry the tears of your heart? I am not you ,yet you all are in my heart and mind, and i cannot know your pain. I wish i was there.

My thoughts and prayers were with you this summer at camp. What a beautiful baby. I was very sad to hear he had passed.

For such a small and gentle boy, Eli was a large force in so many lives. He taught us how precious life is and the power of parents’ love for their children. I feel honored to have known him and to count you both as friends. Your enduring strength and love for each other over these difficult times is an inspiration. My thoughts are always with you,
Love,
Karlyn

Dear Heather and Wayne,
This website is such a lovely tribute to Eli's short but incredible life. Observing your strength and love for each other and for your children has been a life-changing experience for me. That sweet little guy clearly inherited your hardiness and strength. I never met Eli in person, but he will always be in my heart and I'll never be the same person I was before he entered our lives.
I wish only good things for you both!
Love,
Jamie

Heather and Wayne, Eli is so beautiful and is so very blessed to have you both as his loving and dedicated parents. I use the present tense because as you pointed out in your beautiful letter, Wayne, you will always be his parents. In the short time that I’ve known you both, what quickly became clear to me is that you are, with utmost purpose, carrying on the legacy of his sweet little life that ended too soon. Of course, Eli (in all his Eli glory) had no trouble embracing you both with his flawless love—the kind that only the newborn child (and the sage) know how to give—so I think he had a hand in this.
No one asks, nor deserves to travel down the road of the grieving parent. It often makes us “stronger” than we ever wanted or aspired to be. Keep holding on to whatever supports you know you have (especially each other), surround yourselves only with that which you know you can handle (and those whom you know will do their best to be gentle with you), and when you feel lost, always remember to remember Eli’s perfect love. I feel blessed to be able to share his wonder and beauty with you both. Thank you… and know that my love and prayers are with you.

What a beautiful remembrance of a special little boy! As parents, you both have exibited the type of courage and love that so many of us only wish we have. What you have taught me, and what Eli has taught me will never be forgotten...

Thank you for being ALWAYS there for him and for making his short stay heavenly. Thank you for showing us what fantastic parents are like and for making the hardest moments of our job bearable.
You three will always be together in our hearts.
